CROWN CE2000 for SUBS
As of right now I am running my subs from a crown ce2000.
My subs are Peavey SP18x
I know I am way under powered for my subs.
I have aquired another ce2000 amp.
Should I bridge the two amps and use them in mono for my left and right sides? Right now I am NOT getting the thump I want from the subs. I believe the subs are rated for 500w cont.
Am I way over shooting with the bridging?

I concur with Dra in regards to speakon connections
Be sure to mark or tag them.
Better still use speakon socket with 6 inch fly wires going the the binding posts
or
as I have done
use a short \"patch cable\"
spreakon one end (1+ and 2+) bridge mode and a speakon socket the other (1+ 1-) which goes onto the sub speaker cable

Another good cable is a
6\" long Female xlr to male xlr cable
Drop the earth off the female connector.
Great for earth loops (hum buzz etc). Place inbetween the mixer output and the multi core.
The earthing is done at the amplifier end. (Cheaper than iso transformer)

For all those readers in Australia,
Dra was joking,
Please, it is illegal in Oz to remove earth pins from power leads
The RCD's or earth leakage detectors in the power boards don't work without a earth.
Removing them could cause death.
Removing earth off one end of the signal cable is OK

PS GFCI's are Ground Fault Circuit Interuptors and RCD residual current device
