Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems after statically setting the IP address of a Novara 3000 series keypads?
I have installed 8 into a job recently which all work and control there individual rooms correctly however i am continually having to re-configure the static IP as they either loose there IP and give me a bogus IP or revert back to DHCP. (I need to leave them on static for a few reasons)
I have installed the latest firmware 1.2.28 and have spent quite a bit of time mucking around with different ways of configuration, if anyone has come across this and came up with a sure fix or reason why it happens it would be great to hear from you.

in the same situation
I am having the same issue...just posting for moral support and hope someone has an answer. -
Many routers will let you set a DHCP restriction that will lock the IP Address to a specific MAC ID. Then you can leave it to DHCP and never have to worry about the IP address again.

I think there is a newer firmware (1.30? 1.2.30?, not quite sure)
We had some issues with ip settings too, and just set them to DHCP... -

We currently have one on the bench still hot from AMX. Told the guy who is programming it to check that the firmware is up to date due to the fatal flaws in the earlier firmware - when he checked it turns out the version on the unit is newer than the latest firmware version on the website?! WTF!
Is AMX shipping hardware with non-release hotfix firmware versions now? Can't confirm the version number as I'm not in the office. -

The times I have run into this are when the DHCP server served up the same IP address I gave my device. I configured my device with a static IP but didn’t configure the router to be aware of that. When I first looked for an IP address it was free to use. Over time the IP address was allocated for a different device by the DHCP server and then there ended up being two devices with the same IP address on the network. -

Never assign a static address from the lease pool without reserving. This will always happen!
