MVP-9000i external controls properties disabled

Does anyone know if it's possible to change the properties of the external controls?
I want to change the channels code but these options are greyed out.
Never seen this before on any other MVP panel.

External buttons can be given channel assignment either for all pages (global) or for spec if pages. My guess is you're set one way or another and are on the wrong page to see the availablility for change.
