AMX programmer will catch them:
- AXcess programmers are hunting elephants with very tolerant methodes. But when they switch to NetLinx, they are confused why several AXcess methodes are not longer working. (the AXcess compiler is quite lazy in checking syntax)
- NetLinx programmers define virtual elephants, where each elephant may have upto 400 feet (virtual device, w/ upto 100 ports)
- DUET programmers will not hunt elephants. The elephant anounces that he's available, so NetLinx can catch it (DDDP)

Thats one of the things that got me hooked on AMX. I thought finding "Easter Eggs" like those in the old Axcent2s and 3s was awesome.
OK, they are no control commands, but.... try in terminal of any AXcess master the words from the attached image. Have fun :cool:
Not to thread jack. This reminds me of my former life working on SSL mixing consoles. The computer running it could be set to 'rude' mode or 'very rude' mode. The rude mode would sit and flash insulting messages all session long. ex: 'make up your so-called mind' whenever you hit 'undo' As you'd expect, Very Rude mode includes non-stop fun with explicitives.
And now back to the thread.
I remember seeing this AMX joke on one of those 'shoot yourself in the foot' threads. I cannot properly acknowledge the author. My apologies.
Q. How do you shoot yourself in the foot with Netlinx?
A. Netlinx allows you to shoot yourself in the foot but our touch panels do not currently support this feature...
