Hi. We are installing 8400 with a Wall docking station. Is it possible to program the TP release button on the docking station to prevent random people from taking out the TP. When release button is pressed the user will be promted to enter a password on the touchpanel. If password is correct, only then the TP will be released..

I know it's possible, we've done it before . . . I completely forget out to do it though. I think it's a setting in the panel itself, but I need to know for an upcoming job too.

I think you can do that by simply adding a user and password in the TP setup. I know that's how the new 5200i's work for a quick no programming solution.

in the panel go to users, by holding the left lowest button and the right lowest button for about 5 secs, then punch up passcode 1988 look in there for that setting. This is all in the Modero manual

you guys are correct. All you have to do is setup a new user account with a password in the TP, and that's it .
thx again
