Greetings,
Is there a way to stream audio to an MVP8400i? I only need audio, no video.
Thanks.

I think all TPs now support MPEG2 audio and video streams and some support MPEG 4. Now how to go about doing it is another question. There are streaming commands in the TPs instruction manual and some set up in TPD4 to select streaming but that's all I know about it.

OK, maybe not. It looks like the one panel that needs streaming the most (MVPs) don't support it but the ones that can stay with a hardwired connection do. Well confuse me!

it supports play back of MP3 file.
So if you keep uploading (stream) an MP3 file via FTP to the Modero, it might be able to play it? (this will probably NOT work, but why not try it

Now I'm not 100% sure but I think that's impossible. The panels don't FTP and I don't think there is any way to send any type of file of any type to them. The closest to that you can get is changing the URL and file name of a dynamic image, other wise the file directories on the TPs are in accessable. Which is kind of a bummer!it supports play back of MP3 file.

Well you can upload your MP3 files to disk of master, and then modify dinamycally through program url of ressource of a button in panel to load any MP3 avalaible from master disk
For info you can watch and listen Mp4 stream in wired VG Modero Series, I use to watch TV on touch panel here in france

I've always assumed this only worked on locally stored TP filenames not URLs. -
If you open up TPD4, you can import WAV and MP3 files into a TPD4 project. But I don't believe that you can dynamically link the panel to a stream or remote file. The file must be embedded into the project and then played locally on the panel.
Even the intercom feature is panel to panel. No external audio source. You also can't send audio to an external (non-AMX) device.
I sure wish you could.
Unless someone knows something that I don't.
