Just wondering if anyone has interfaced with this device via it's serial port. I've found some limited documentation, but was wondering if anyone could share a code example, particularly it's responses and what it means.

I don't have this box with me, so I'll be programming blind so any help is greatly appreciated.

    I've controlled this thing one way on a few jobs. It's the same as the Sony HD300. I don't think anyone's got anything useful from the responses. It's similar, but not identical to the codes for the Sony SAT-A50 series boxes, which you could at least get the channel number from.

    The protocol info I have is an excel spreadsheet. I zipped it and attached it. I would send a code example except that every job I've done with one of these now has the HD Tivo in its place, and I got rid of the code - oops!

    I tried controlling this thing with some success. I cannot however change the channels (up, down, numeric keys, etc.).

    I gave up and switched to IR.
