Modules and TP Designs as Assets?

We're in the middle of our end of year stock take at the moment and i was just wondering whether people regard any modules they write or touch panel designs they create as stock, or maybe a fixed asset? Most people tend not to think of software as stock because its not as tangible as say a pair of speakers. Just like to get other peoples opinions.

Not really. We don't ever re-sell either as such, we bill based on an estimate of the time to do the job, so the soft products developed aren't billed for directly. We also pretty much hand them over to the client when the job is done.
