VPT-CP to VPN-CP conversion?

Does anyone know if its possible to upgrade a VPT-CP one-way panel to a VPN-CP two-way 2.4ghz panel, simply by inserting a two-way transceiver module and setting the internal jumper to 2-Way?

    Sorry but it's a little more complicated than that as you need to add also some circuitries that are missing in VPT-CP, plus connectors, RF module (difficult to find now !), antennas and so on, so you can consider it's impossible to do :( (if you are looking for VPN-CP at good prices, I have a bunch of them ;)

    You can but you need 2 parts

    First off you need the 2way card which connects to the front of the board which can only be obtained by AMX. This has a wire that goes to the reciever think it was made by a company called "Aerocomm". The newer Panele Rev 5.10a do not have the connectors on the the board. Rev 5.03e (I think...hard to remember) do. So you still need this part from AMX. Unless you have spare or broken VPT's lying around and are handy with this sort of thing.......my advice would be not to bother.
