MVP 8400 Digital Intercom

Hello Everybody,

I noticed that the new firmware for the MVPs 2.57.53 has a Digital/Intercom feature on it. Has anybody used the MVP 8400 for intercoming. This can be a very nice feature, especially if it works with the AS16 audio switcher. Any ideas?

    I was just remarking to someone in a PM that I never use panels or keypads for intercom, I sell telephone systems for that. But if I did, I would be hesitant to add yet one more source of bandwidth-eating network traffic.

    How much bandwidth could we be talking about? Unless its a video intercom, we're looking at less than 100k, which is a mere fraction of what's available on LANs. Could be handy for a cabana, garage, or guest house, where running additional wiring could be costly.
