Sunrise/Sunset table

Has anyone found a module, software solution, or simple external box that can be used with an NI series controller to activate events based on Sunrise/Sunset tables? I know many of the larger lighting controllers have this feature but thats not really the route I'm looking to go.

Hi AutoTech,
Have you tried the Netlinx built in function ASTRO_CLOCK? ASTRO_CLOCK will calculate sunrise and sunset for any date by passing into it the Longitude , Latitude , and HoursFromGMT.

Fantastic, that is exactly what I need. Thank you.

i-TimeManager offers a "wakup call" service that you could program with the results of ASTRO CLOCK.
In fact I think getting sunrise-sunset time is part of i-TimeManager as well.

Just read the manual, you are correct. It does have Sunrise/Sunset data, excellent. Thanks.

Another option is to place a photocell somewhere in an appropriate place (not in the sun but not in deep shadow). An advantange of this is that you have realtime measurement of light intensity, so you can provide more accurate lighting feedback based on real situation outside.
