"Upgrade to WinXP." (I almost cried)

This is kinda off-topic, but I got called in to help on an old building lighting system. Lutron 6000, managed by an old Compaq computer w/ CRT display, running Win98, on the bare concrete floor of an electrical closet (It used to be on a wooden table, in an electrical room). The Lutron job number was clearly visible on the sticker. I called Lutron. After confirming the job was so old they had no record of it, I asked them if there was any newer control software for this unit that would run on a modern OS.
"Upgrade to WinXP!" the guy exclaimed.
After confirming that really was the answer, I almost cried. Why me? At least the control computer actually still works, for now.

Well, technically it IS an upgrade...

And at least it's a stable operating system.
I've got one of those at a site, but it is in a concrete space only 4.5' high. The AV racks are in there with some other storage. I bought a couple of wheeled crawlers to keep under there so you can scoot around.
