I saw a code that was sent to me and saw this:
I know that this system uses an NI-3100. How does an NI-3100 has a port numbered 21?
somedevice = 5001:21:1 another = 5001:22:1

Port 21
NX series use port 21 for relays & port 22 for I/O. -

That's one of the nice new features. All NX masters use the same port numbers for various devices. You don't have to retool your code if you change from one master to another. I still have to double check on stuff like the NI700/900/2100. Don't have them committed to memory. -
Very nice. I had two nearly identical systems this week. One had relays on port 4, one on port 8.
